A star from our disability football sessions has been extended an exciting opportunity to attend an FA Talent Programme.

15-year-old Jack Wallace plays football at weekly sessions at his school, Priory Woods in Middlesbrough, which are run in conjunction with the North Riding FA.

And after impressing at a trial day in March, Jack will now attend the 6-week North Riding FA's Disability Talent Programme. Held for 90 minutes each week at York Sport Village, the emphasis of the sessions is technical and tactical improvement.

Jack, who is a huge football fan, said that he was "really excited" at the chance to show of his skills and make some new friends at the sessions.

And Jack's teacher and coach, Mr Walker, added: "We're all extremely proud and excited for Jack - he always wants to do extra and wants to develop his skills.

"Jack has worked very hard and really deserves this opportunity."

Throughout Teesside, MFC Foundation is committed to providing regular football activity for young people and adults with a variety of mental and physical needs.
