At Priory Woods you are entitled to receive a planned programme of career education, information, advice and guidance that is impartial and independent. This will help prepare you for the world of work and help you to lead an independent life. Please find a careers provision map for Upper School and P16 to see the opportunities the pupils have in school.

Employers, Education and Training Providers

As part of our Careers Curriculum, our students have many encounters with employers. This provides them with the opportunities to find out about local industry and jobs. Alongside visiting work places, we also invite employers in to school to talk about their roles and past experiences within their job sector.

Contact with employers is really valuable for our students, as they learn about opportunities that are available, therefore raising aspirations for employment. It gives students a taster of the different jobs available in different sectors. So far, we have identified students are interested in art, leisure, catering, retail, warehouse work, building and I am sure we will identify many more.

We always welcome any support employers, businesses and training providers can offer with helping to deliver a rich career programme for our students. If you feel that you could offer any support or would like to come into school, please get in touch with us.

If you have any questions with regards to Careers and/or Transition please contact our Careers Leader Nicola Ure via email at ure.n@priorywoodsschool.com or phone 01642 770540
