Primary School PE Funding and Impact Statement 2014 2015

 PRIMARY SCHOOL PE FUNDING POLICY

During 2014/2015 £8,315 Primary School Sports funding will be received with the objectives of improving the quality of PE and Sport for all children.

The funding has been allocated as follows:-

Term 1 – September 2014 –December 2015 Boot Camp / Ball Skills

Key Stage 1 - £1,000

Key Stage 2 - £1,000

The objectives are to improve overall pupil fitness and to work on pupil’s ability to follow instructions and enjoy exercise.

Term 2

January 2015 – Feb 2015

Boot Camp / Ball Skills

Rock it climbing and Archery - £500

The objectives are to offer a broader range of sports and activities.

Gymnastics

Key Stage 1 – £750

Accreditation Costs - £500

The objectives are to assist pupils with balance and to work towards some accreditation within gymnastics.

Family Stay and Play – Fitness Sessions

In line with the SIP Family Sessions have been budgeted to work with pupils and parents together in playing games / basic sports to improve fitness - £315

Rock it Climbing and Archery £500

All student (including students with PMLD) got the chance to experience both rock climbing and archery. 

To Engage all students in regular physical activity. 

What a Racquet

Boot camp and multi skills

£25 per session with one instructor £50 per session double instructor.

Boot camp and multi skills sessions engage all children in regular physical activity.

 

These sessions improve students overall fitness and ability to follow instructions. Bleep test results measure improvement in fitness.

 

Pupils have also made progress in their personal and social development in getting changed independently for PE Sessions.

 

Pupils have also improved their playing skills – independently engaging in racquet and ball sports on the playground / school field at break times.

 

To Engage and extend gifted and talented students through PE challenges and skill development.

 

To provide training and experience to staff to teach and deliver gymnastics.

Gymnastics

Gifted and Talented children working towards Key Skills in Gymnastics Level 2.

 

Teaching Assistants have gained valuable skills in delivering and supporting gymnastics in school.

Family stay and play sessions.
