At Priory Woods History is taught as part of ‘Knowledge and Understanding of the World’ and is delivered through cross curricular topics. History helps pupils gain a coherent knowledge and understanding of Britain’s past and that of the wider world and inspires their curiosity.

At Priory Woods we aim to offer students opportunities to explore;

• changes within living memory
• events beyond living memory that are significant nationally or globally
• the lives of significant individuals in the past who have contributed to national and international achievements
• significant historical events, people and places in their own locality
